Ian Warford, CEO

Ian joined activAeon in 2015 as Chief Executive Officer and has over 30 years of capital markets and software industry experience. His capital markets expertise is derived from a wide range of roles at UBS, Dresdner Kleinwort Benson and Deutsche Bank. These roles included Head of IT for Northern Europe at UBS, Global Head of e-commerce for FX Equities, Fixed Income and Exchange Traded Derivative Products at Dresdner and Head of Structured Products for Transaction Banking (Financial Institutions) division of Deutsche Bank. 

His software roles include CEO of Navarik Corporation, Head of Products at mPorium Group PLC, Head of Capital Markets for Microsoft, Head of Financial Services at Sybase and Head of Financial Services at webMethods. 

Ian holds B.Eng (Hons) and PhD degrees in Electrical Engineering. 

Mike Stephen, Head of Product Development

Mike joined activAeon in 2004. Since joining the company he has assembled a team of engineers for the development of innovative software products, and is currently Head of Product Development and Technical Architect for the activAeon XA product line.

Mike graduated with a First Class honours degree in Computer Science from Teesside University. Mike has over 20 years of experience in the IT industry and was Technical Architect for an interest rate derivatives trading and risk management software house, based in the City of London. In addition, Mike has also helped create and support mission critical middleware and mobile banking solutions, while based in Newcastle and Munich respectively.

Andrea Bowman, SPLA Specialist

Since joining activAeon in 2004 Andrea has developed an extensive understanding and expertise in the software licensing arena and is now our in-house SPLA specialist, building and promoting an excellent relationship with the Microsoft licensing team in Redmond.  As a customer relationship manger to some of our most important customers, Andrea acts as a liaison between clients and activAeon’s development department, making sure that the lines of communication remain open and ensuring the quality and service we provide always exceeds expectations.

Andrea graduated from the University of Durham in 1999 with a BSc (Honours) in Computer Science. Andrea has over 15 years of experience in the IT industry working as a technical architect, software developer, technical author and quality assurance tester.
